JotForm Celebrates One Million Widget Usages

SAN FRANCISCO, April 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Just 15 months after the first one launched in late 2013, JotForm's famous form widgets have now officially been used over one million times. What started as a small project to give users a few useful tools to add to forms has ballooned to feature nearly 400 widgets, solving an abundance of problems along the way. Widgets are small applications that run independently on forms, allowing users to collect and manage form information in a better, faster and more efficient way.

"We knew we'd get to a million uses eventually, but I don't think anyone saw it happening this soon," said JotForm Founder and CEO, Aytekin Tank. "Our widgets team has done a fantastic job of producing tools that really enhance our users' experiences and solve real world problems, and the millionth usage is a testament to their hard work."

Some of the most common widget applications include ones for automatically adding city and state dropdowns, YouTube and TED videos, image sliders and specialized captchas. Ultimately, there's a JotForm widget to help just about every industry and use case; and the selection is constantly growing.

"We've always prided ourselves on addressing the needs of our users with innovative tools, and our hundreds of widgets are an example of that," Tank said. "While I'm happy they've been used over a million times now, I can't say I'm surprised; they're incredibly useful."

Unlike JotForm's integrations, which send response information to various sites like Dropbox or Salesforce, widgets are designed to be add-ons to forms that enhance the experience on the forms themselves.

JotForm has a whole team dedicated to improving and developing useful widgets for users. Check out the one millionth widget usage infographic in their newest blog post for a visual guide to the stats behind the milestone.

JotForm has been on the forefront of enabling users to easily build custom forms since 2006. Today, JotForm is not only known for ease of use, but also for innovative new features like the company's advanced Form Designer, Theme Store and Migration Wizard for former Adobe FormsCentral users.
