CounterTack Announces CISO Panel and Networking Event at RSA 2015

CounterTack, the leader in Big Data Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), today announced that it will be co-hosting an event, "Beyond Next-Generation Cybersecurity 2015: The CISO Perspective on Countering the Global Threatscape," on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 in San Francisco, at the Palace Hotel.

The event, co-sponsored by GuidePoint Security and the EC Council, will take place during the RSA (News - Alert) Conference week. Moderated by Maria Lewis Kussmaul, Founding Partner, Investment Banking, AGC Partners, the event will showcase a panel discussion among five global CISOs.

"The current cybersecurity landscape is shifting from traditional models that focus on solving yesterday's threats to context-aware technologies enabling teams to correlate multiple data sources for better security decision-making," said Maria Lewis Kussmaul, Founding Partner, Investment Banking, AGC Partners. "The enterprise is faced with the proliferation of an escalating attack landscape, BYOD and the consumerization of IT, forcing CISOs to get ahead of the broader impact advanced threats have on the organization. With the reputable panel assembled, we look forward to a high-level discussion focused on targeting the key issues CISOs are facing now and in the future."

"Given the recent media attention on Information Security, the role of the CISO is maturing from an advisor to that of an influencer," said Justin Morehouse, Co-Founder of GuidePoint Security. "CISOs today are forced to constantly innovate their approach to Information Security in order to support their organization's mission. Threat intelligence, data analytics, and user-behavior modeling are examples of innovative aproaches CISO's are taking to secure their organization. These approaches, along with how CISO's are thriving across multiple industries, given their new authority and responsibility, will be discussed during our panel."

The panelists include:

  • Zouhair Guelzim, CISO, L'Oreal
  • Richard Rushing, CISO, Motorola (News - Alert) Mobility
