RedSeat Entertainment Sees Positive Consumer Response to First Domestic Installation of Tremor FX Chairs at Larry H. Megaplex Theatres at The Gateway has installed a total of 21 Tremor FX chairs to date, which use Tremor FX technology to enhance engagement for moviegoers by incorporating dynamic vibrations into movies. A series of actuators are built into each seat that respond to audio signals embedded in a film's individual soundtrack, causing the chair to vibrate and pulsate in tandem with the action in the film. "The Tremor FX chairs add another level of sensory experience, making viewers feel like they are truly part of what is happening on screen," said Jeff Whipple, Megaplex Theatres vice president of marketing. "We are always searching for new ways to provide options that enhance the movie watching experience for our guests, and the response we've seen so far to these chairs has been impressive. Tremor FX chairs were designed for easy installation and retrofitting, making it possible for theatres to upgrade seating without significant disruptions to daily operations.
