IEEE Cybersecurity Initiative to Support Innnovation in Series of Leadership Driven Programs for Women Engineers

WHO:  

The IEEE Cybersecurity Initiative, IEEE Women in Engineering International Leadership Conference and the Cisco (News - Alert) Women in Science and Engineering Group collaborate to emphasize entrepreneurship, innovation, empowerment, and executive leadership among mid-to-senior level women professionals.

 
WHAT: Two events in conjunction with the IEEE Women in Engineering International Leadership Conference (WIE ILC).
 
The first event, the Innovations in Cybersecurity panel, will feature three women leaders in engineering, providing perspective, expertise and a discussion on current cybersecurity strategies.
 

• Terry Benzel, IEEE Member, Deputy Division Director, Internet and Networked Systems at the USC Viterbi School of Engineering;

• Dr. Gabriela Ciocarlie, Computer Scientist, SRI (News - Alert) International; and

• Dr. Deb Frincke, IEEE Senior Member, Director of the Research Directorate, National Security Agency (News - Alert).

 
The second event is a Hackathon, co-hosted with the Cisco Women in Science and Engineering Group, providing up to 50 participants the chance to develop code and compete for a variety of prizes.
