Only 11 percent of people in the IT security profession are women. A lack of mentorship and salary discrepancies are just some of the obstacles impacting women's participation in the industry. Women are also leaving the tech industry in droves. According to a Harvard Business Review study, more than 50 percent of women working in science, engineering and technology will end up leaving the profession because of hostile work environments. "Breaking the Glass Firewall: The Changing Role of Women in IT Security" will focus on how to attract and retain women in the IT security industry, as well as the benefits of a more inclusive workforce.
