The Advanced Imaging Society Announces 2015 Officers and Board of Governors

In order to prepare content professionals for the fast evolving media and content marketplace, The Advanced Imaging Society has named its new executive committee and board of governors. Formerly called The International 3D and Advanced Imaging Society, the organization recently shortened its name to reflect its expanded mission of educating motion picture, television, and now virtual reality creatives.

Re-elected as Chairman this year is Mike DeValue, Director of Advanced Technology at The Walt Disney Studios. "As our industry advances into the exciting areas of HDR (News - Alert), VR, and UHD, The Society will play a key role in educating the content pipeline on these emerging technologies," DeValue stated. As new cutting-edge technologies including high dynamic range (HDR), virtual reality (VR), high frame rate (HFR), and 4K come to the forefront, the Society has been charged with "informing the content pipeline" of professionals on these emerging innovations.

The organization hosts professional education seminars and awards throughout the world.
