Secure Exchange Solutions Achieves ONC ACB Certification for SES Direct

Secure Exchange Solutions announced receipt of the ONC HIT 2014 Edition Release 2 Modular EHR certification for SES (News - Alert) Direct. This certification affirms that SES Direct offers the functionality required for our inpatient and ambulatory provider customers to comply with the recently expanded 2014 Edition health IT certification criteria announced by ONC that is focused on secure transports, specifically the §170.314(h)(1) criteria of Direct Messaging standard.

Drummond Group conducted the testing and certification, naming Secure Exchange Solutions as one of the first newly certified products for this criteria. ONCs 2014 Edition Release 2 criteria decouples the creation of summary care content from the secure transport capabilities. With the certification, Secure Exchange Solutions can provide greater flexibility to providers and hospitals in achieving interoperability within their networks.

"As health information exchange continues to mature, providing our customers with smarter ways to connect within the healthcare ecosystem while continuing to meet Meaningful Use goals is critical," said Dan Kazzaz, CEO of Secure Exchange. "At Secure Exchange, we are committed to offering our hospitals, providers and nationwide partner network the most advanced secure transport solutions that are flexible, integrated into their enterprise workflow, and adhere to the latest standards. This certification demonstrates our continued commitment to better serve our customer and partner base, ensuring the ability to leverage the Direct network regardless of existing HIT investments. Our customers have access to their patient information where and when they nee it."

Secure Exchange provides connectivity and secure transport to a rapidly expanding network of hospitals, providers, accountable care organizations, health information exchanges, health plans, health insurance exchanges and consumers directly and through the SES partner program.
