OmniTI Announces New Release of OmniOSOmniTI, a leading provider of web infrastructures and applications for companies that require scalable, high-performance, mission critical solutions, today announced its newest release of OmniOS, the open-source operating system built for the Solaris, OpenSolaris and Illumos communities. One of the key new elements this release brings is Long-Term Support (LTS), the second such release in OmniOS's history. OmniTI offers affordable OmniOS support at several levels and a discount is available for educational and non-profit institutions. Arriving on the third anniversary of its initial release, OmniOS builds on Illumos to make a complete operating system solution.
