NavigationArts Supports Launch of New Children's Hospital Association Website


NavigationArts, a full-service digital agency, is proud to support the launch of the Children's Hospital Association's (CHA) new public and member website, childrenshospitals.org. CHA is a non-profit organization and the voice of 220 children's hospitals nationally. NavigationArts created CHA's new digital platform to streamline information sharing among children's hospitals, legislative decision makers, allied and partner organizations, and the general public. Anyone with an interest in children's health care can find information, from issues impacting access and delivery of care to how all children benefit from children's hospitals and why they're important.

CHA asked NavigationArts to create a seamless single website that consolidates and reorganizes content, collaboration, discussions, and access to programs, products, and services from three original platforms into a unified and cohesive website experience.

In the process of creating the site, various hospital member representatives provided feedback and input on the information architecture and functionality.The new website centralizes resources, documents, and discussions with the ability for users to filter and search content allowing them to focus on specific topics. Features of the new website include a personalized Member Center to support members in their hospital roles and customizable search across all site content. The result is a platform that offers a simple and user-friendly experience.



"We are thrilled with the possibilities our new website holds both for our children's hospital members and those who care about issues related to child health and health care," said Amy Knight, chief operating officer at CHA. "By creating a single venue for our children's hospital caregivers, researchers and administrative staff to come to learn, connect and share information, we hope to better connect and support our national community of children's hospitals. The work they do together drives improvements in care and quality of life, advances in research, smarter spending and better care coordination, to benefit the health of all children across the U.S."

The platform is built on the Sitecore Content Management System utilizing Sitecore's email management and analytics tools. Zimbra (News - Alert), a modern and user-friendly collaboration tool, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and Google Analytics were integrated for ease of use for both users and content managers. Also included is a faceted search powered by Google (News - Alert) Search and a claims-based Appliance Enterprise Single Sign-On.
