Spring into Action and Join Tekserve at Its eWaste Recycling Event on April 11

Tekserve, a leading provider of technology solutions for creative professionals, invites NYC residents to spring into action at its next eWaste Electronics Recycling Event, co-hosted by the Lower East Side Ecology Center, on Saturday, April 11, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine. The event will take place at the Tekserve retail store, located in Chelsea at 119 West 23rd Street in New York City.

"With spring finally in the air, it is time to gather up the old technology piling up in closets and drawers and to get them recycled properly," says Albert Garcia, Tekserve Retail Director. "At Tekserve, we are constantly supporting such initiatives as eWaste recycling with the goal of encouraging mindfulness when it comes to respecting our planet. We hope to see a big turnout at the event and encourage all NYC residents, small businesses and non-for-profits to join us and properly dispose of any unwanted electronic devices."

During the event, Tekserve is also offering a coupon featuring $10 off $50 purchase or service, and $20 off $100 purchase or service at Tekserve for those participating in the eWaste event. Shoppers can also receive an additional $5 off their purchase while redeeming their coupon if they show that they've checked in at Tekserve on Facebook (News - Alert) (www.facebook.com/Tekserve) or Foursquare (https://foursquare.com/v/tekserve/422f8e00f964a520f81f1fe3).

In addition, Tekserve will be offering participants the opportunity to enter its "Most Unique Tech Recycled" contest on Instagram. Tekserve will be on the hunt, searchin for the most unique pieces of eWaste at all of the eWaste spring events happening throughout the city co-hosted by the Lower East Side Ecology Center. To enter, interested individuals are required to take a picture at the eWaste event, holding the technology that they brought in to recycle, and post it on Instagram. Each entrant must tag (News - Alert) the post with @Tekserve, #eWaste and his or her location. The two top contenders from each eWaste event will win $20 Tekserve gift cards, and winners will be notified the Monday following the event via direct message on Instagram.

While the eWaste recycling drive is open to all unwanted electronics, Mac® or PC (regardless if they were purchased at the Tekserve store or not), household appliances, such as microwaves and air conditioners, will not be accepted.
