Scott Palmer Named President and Chief Operating Officer of Medical Web Technologies, Maker of One Medical Passport

Medical Web Technologies (MWT), the company behind One Medical Passport, the most widely adopted online preop and patient engagement solution, announced today that Scott Palmer has been named its President and Chief Operating Officer (COO). In his new role, Mr. Palmer will be in charge of growing the company's core business as well as introducing its technology to new markets.

"I have had the good fortune in my career to work closely with many of the leading ambulatory surgery center (ASC (News - Alert)) management companies, independent ASCs, hospitals and healthcare consultants, as well as many of the organizations that support them," said Mr. Palmer. "I am pleased to add MWT, who pioneered the concept of getting patients more involved in their own care with the creation of One Medical Passport, to this list. Because patient engagement has never been more important than it is today, the One Medical Passport technology is extremely relevant.

"One Medical Passport is a proven product, as evidenced by its very high customer satisfaction and demonstrated results. I see great opportunity ahead to leverage the company's superior clinical ad technological expertise to develop a greater range of products and business services to meet the evolving needs of our clients," concluded Mr. Palmer.

Mr. Palmer is a health information system industry veteran with over 35 years of experience, most recently with Symphony Performance Health. Prior to that, he served as the President and COO of Source (News - Alert) Medical's Surgery Division from 2005 - 2012. Mr. Palmer was also the founder of Prescient Healthcare Systems, CTQ Solutions, and Temple Information Systems. In addition, he was the COO and CEO of HealthIS. Mr. Palmer has been on MWT's Board of Directors since 2008, a position he will retain.

"We are very pleased to have someone with Scott's experience and track record of success join our company," said Stephen Punzak, MD, Medical Web Technologies' CEO. "He brings a wealth of industry knowledge and practical experience to MWT at exactly the right time as our company experiences rapid growth."
