10th Biennial Navis World 2015 Opens With Record Participation

With more attendees, industry support and sponsorships than ever before, this year's conference is focused on the theme of Connect. Collaborate. Innovate.

"The ocean shipping industry faces some unprecedented challenges today, but we at Navis strongly believe that these hurdles can be overcome through industry collaboration, cutting-edge technology, and bravery in executing new and forward-thinking ideas," said Andy Barrons, SVP and CMO of Navis. "It is in that spirit today on the 10th anniversary of Navis World, that we are proud to launch the Terminal Business Intelligence Portal and the Navis Collaboration Center. Over the next three days, Navis will host more than 400 marine container terminal operators, partners, and industry experts as they attend a variety of sessions, workshops and networking events. Ron Widdows, Chairman of the World Shipping Council and Principal, Ronald D. Widdows & Associates Pte Ltd, and George A. Kohlrieser, internationally renowned leadership expert will present the general addresses. Additionally, the conference offers 52 breakout sessions organized in five tracks, each presented by industry and terminal leaders as well as Navis product experts. Presentations will include 14 customer case studies; nine industry sessions; 17 partner sessions and 14 Navis product and services sessions, examples include The Future of the TOS and the Impact on Operations, Managing Container Terminals in the Environment of New Complexities, and Emulated Systems Integration and Performance Tuning.

Opening day of Navis World also marks the launch of two of Navis' offerings: the Terminal Business Intelligence Portal, a solution that provides operational analysis and real-time data discovery, and the Navis Collaboration Center (NCC), an innovative, integrated online community and support portal. Additionally, conference participants will also hear and see first-hand what's in store for the future of Navis solutions.


Attendees will also be able to interact one-on-one at the Navis World Technology exhibition with Navis partners and sponsors, providing a full-view into the technology solutions that can help to improve terminal operations.
