Jericho Systems Invited to Participate in the Personal Identity Verification-Interoperable / First Responder Authentication Credential Quarterly Workshop

Jericho Systems, experts in Attribute Based Access Control (ABAC) and content filtering technology, have been invited by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate (S&T (News - Alert)) to discuss their current efforts with the Northern California Regional Intelligence Center (NCRIC) and the Open Geospatial Consortium Geo4NIEM Testbed effort at the PIV-I / FRAC Technology Transition Working Group Quarterly Workshop, to be held April 2-3, 2015.

"The concept of combining attribute based access control with data labeling and data segmentation, or DLDS™, for trusted and secure information sharing will significantly change the IdAM industry," said Tim Schmoyer, CTO of Jericho Systems.

Jericho Systems is partnering with Resilient Network Systems, to deploy advanced secure information sharing cloud technology for NCRIC. This will enhance data collaboration and situational awareness in near real-time across several jurisdictions and organizations, while minimizing privacy risk in a well-defined, predictable, consistent, and auditable manner in accordance with local, state, tribal, and federal privacy laws. These innovative technologies will be used to control access to documents and geospatial information, and will have the ability to redact, anonymize, nd encrypt information contained with resources based on digital policies that enhance data-level security.

Testifying before the House Committee on Homeland Security in September 2014, U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Jeh Johnson highlighted state and local partners' critical contribution to the homeland security mission, stating, "local police and fire departments are the first responders to any crisis in our homeland. The local police, more than the federal government, have their finger on the pulse of the local community from which a domestic terrorist may come."

Jericho Systems has leveraged previous efforts with Data Segmentation and Data Labeling:

  • Based on open standard policy languages, protocols, and Universal, Common, and Domain-specific data elements
  • Documented reference implementation for the Data Segmentation for Privacy (DS4P) effort sponsored by the ONC S&I Framework for Health and Human Services

"Empowering first responders with the right information at the right time is the goal. EnterSpace Technology provides DHS with a multi-level security model that not only resolves the consumption of disparate identities at runtime, but provides a responsive, policy-based security posture across the convergence of physical, logical, and data infrastructure protection," said Brynn Mow, CEO of Jericho Systems.
