FTC Names PrivacyStar Top Do Not Call Complaint Contributor


CONWAY, Ark., March 19, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- PrivacyStar™ today announces users of its service filed 21 percent of all Do Not Call complaints, according to the recent Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Consumer Sentinel Network Data Book.

PrivacyStar provides consumers with a one-stop service that identifies and blocks unwanted calls and lets users report complaints to the FTC about callers directly from the PrivacyStar app and accompanying website. PrivacyStar leapfrogged the Better Business Bureau in 2014 to become the leader in Do Not Call violation complaints contributed. The Better Business Bureau contributed 15 percent of complaints and the Internet Crime Complaint Center contributed nine percent of all complaints.
