DocuSign Establishes Foundation to Transform Lives

SAN FRANCISCO, March 11, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- DOCUSIGN MOMENTUM '15 — DocuSign, Inc. (DocuSign®) announced the launch of DocuSign Impact designed to transform lives by transforming charities. As a company whose mission is to change the way the world works by empowering anyone to transact anytime, anywhere, on any device, the employees of DocuSign recognize that the opportunity to make an impact extends beyond for-profit business. DocuSign employees are equally passionate about enriching the communities around them as they are about transforming business: It is the foundation on which the company was built and the fabric that binds its culture and values.

DocuSign Impact is organized around three pillars of corporate philanthropy: Employee volunteerism, the creation of the DocuSign Impact Foundation to match employee donations, and product discounts for qualifying nonprofits. DocuSign Impact will empower employee volunteerism with 3 days paid time off annually for every employee to volunteer at the nonprofits of their choice. With the launch of the DocuSign Impact Foundation, employee donations to qualifying charities will be matched once fully operational. Through significant discounts on DocuSign for Nonprofits to qualifying charities, DocuSign will help more charities benefit from its industry-leading Digital Transaction Management (DTM) platform so more of their resources go towards making a positive impact in the world.

"DocuSign employees are deeply passionate about our custmers and helping them transform the way business is done by empowering anyone to transact anytime, anywhere, on any device – securely," said Peter Navin, Chief Human Resources Officer at DocuSign and Executive Sponsor of DocuSign Impact. "We hope to tap into that same spirit with DocuSign Impact to have an even more profound and positive impact on the world around us – transforming lives by transforming charities."

DocuSign for Nonprofits
DocuSign will offer DocuSign for Nonprofits at a significant discount to help more charities benefit from DocuSign's DTM platform so they can put more of their resources towards achieving their missions, like at Special Olympics. DocuSign has provided its DTM platform to empower athletes, guardians, coaches and doctors to electronically sign required documents like medical releases and participation forms.

"Reducing barriers to entry is critical for Special Olympics and why we're grateful to DocuSign for providing us with this capability," said Janet Froetscher, CEO of Special Olympics. "We continuously look for ways to transform the way we serve our millions of athletes around the world. With DocuSign, athletes, guardians, coaches and doctors will be able to complete required health screenings digitally, without the need for paperwork."

DocuSign for Nonprofits automates manual, paper-based processes to help charities increase staff productivity, meet compliance needs, and lower operating costs to put more of their resources towards achieving their missions. Some of the many nonprofit organizations that have standardized on DocuSign for Digital Transaction Management include American Hospital Association, American Red Cross, Awana Clubs, Code.org, the Federation of State Medical Boards, Free The Children (www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6q2g2oLRt0), Kiva, National Public Radio (NPR), The Nature Conservancy, Nike Foundation, Path, Scottish Autism, Silicon Valley Community Foundation, the World Wildlife Fund, Wounded Warrior Project, and Xprize Foundation.

"In the nonprofit world, pennies add up to change lives," said Craig Kielburger, Co-founder of Free The Children. "By using DocuSign, we can take the money we used to spend on administration, overnighting, paper, and other logistics and put it back into what's important—to bring positive change to children around the world."

"We wanted DocuSign Impact to reflect one of our core beliefs that the DocuSign platform should be open and available to all to help transform any business," said Navin. "DocuSign Impact is unique as an impartial foundation that supports causes important to our customers, partners and employees."

As part of DocuSign's annual customer, partner and developer conference, DocuSign MOMENTUM, every attendee was given a complimentary seat license of DocuSign Business Edition to give to their favorite nonprofit*.
