Lockheed Martin's Joint Strike Fighter Lab Selects Spirent

Lockheed Martin (News - Alert) Aeronautics Company has selected Spirent Federal Systems to provide GPS/INS simulation systems for their F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Mission Systems Integration Lab (MSIL).

The Spirent (News - Alert) simulators being supplied will enable the JSF MSIL to support critical Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) testing in the lab for fully evaluating F-35 mission systems and mission critical sensors substantially augmenting and reducing instrumented flight testing. The Spirent systems will also be utilized to provide aiding in the JSF Vehicle Systems Integration Facility (VSIF).

"Spirent's ability to demonstrate superior hardware-in-the-loop GPS/INS test solutions was essential in being selected to support such a critical program," said Ellen Hall, President of Spirent FederalSystems.
