PRIVO Expands Leadership Team with Three New Appointments Connected to The College Board

WASHINGTON, Feb. 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- PRIVO, the service that helps websites, apps, and games comply with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act), announced three new appointments: Rob Layton, from KEL Group, as PRIVO's Chief Technology Officer, Ira Gluck, formerly with the College Board, as Chief Customer Officer and Senior Engineer Matthew Warman, also from the College Board. These new hires solidify PRIVO's position as the industry's leading Safe Harbor and permission management platform.

As CTO, Layton will focus on further developing and expanding PRIVO's product suite for brands and parent audiences as well as leading product innovation in line with customer needs. Layton founded KEL Group, Inc. in 2012 to provide leadership and strategic direction in information technology to a range of businesses including the College Board. He brings over 15 years of experience in the IT industry, and has held several leadership positions including Senior Vice President at new Brand Analytics and COO and CIO at Campus Partners.

"With near-daily reports of hacks and ever-evolving advertising technologies, providing a safe and secure online experience for our children is more important than ever," said Layton. "My experience developing products and IT infrastructure will ensure that PRIVO delivers cutting edge, best in class products that deliver on our promise to provide seamless, safe management of parental consent for children. This core service enables companies with the knowledge, resource and tools necessary to initiate and manage responsible and effective youth and parent relationships online."

As CCO, Gluck will oversee client relations, working strategically on client acquisitions and ensuring that current clients have the tools to provide safe online experiences for the twelve-and-under audience. Gluck, who has been an advisor to PRIVO for over two years, had served as Executive Director of Product Development at the College Board before that.

"PRIVO's technology has proven to be vital for brands and publishers, both child-facing and non, to expand their audiences and grow their revenues," said Gluck. "I will focus on certifying that every client understands how to provide the safest online experience with PRIVO."

PRIVO also announced the hire of Senior Engineer Matthew Warman, who will develop and maintain the company's FTC-compliant technologies. Matt brings over 20 years of experience creating IT solutions for established companies and startups alike. Most recently, he built applications for the College Board's advanced placement program. Warman also wrote a book called Lean Application about constructing apps.

"PRIVO protects the identities of children and ensures they have a safe place to play online, which is why it's imperative that our team is comprised of top talent," said PRIVO Co-Founder, CEO and President Denise G. Tayloe. "I am thrilled to have passionate and talented people like Rob, Ira and Matthew on the team to ensure PRIVO stays at the forefront of safety and security online."
