Tech Entrepreneur and Innovator Steve Case to Receive CEA Digital Patriot Award

WHAT:

The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)® today announced that it will honor Steve Case, Revolution (News - Alert) Chairman and CEO, at its upcoming 11th Annual Digital Patriots Dinner. Case will be recognized as a digital patriot at this major technology policy event for his long support of technology innovation. The Digital Patriots Dinner is scheduled for Tuesday, April 14 at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. Event registration opens today.

 

In 1985, Steve Case co-founded America Online (AOL (News - Alert)). Under Case's leadership, AOL was the first Internet company to go public and among the best performing stocks of the 1990s, delivering an 11,616% return to shareholders. Case currently serves as chairman and CEO of Revolution, a Washington, D.C.-based investment firm he co-founded in 2005, where he partners with visionary entrepreneurs to build significant "built to last" new businesses. All proceeds from the Digital Patriots Dinner will be donated to the CEA Foundation, a public, national foundation affiliated with CEA that links seniors and people with disabilities with technologies to enhance their lives, and Girls Who Code, a national movement that aims to inspire, educate and equip girls with the computing skills to pursue 21st century opportunities.

 

In conjunction with the Digital Patriots Dinner, CES on the Hill returns to the nation's capital on Wednesday, April 15. This invitation-only event provides policymakers the opportunity to interact with the innovators and products revolutionizing the way we live, work and play. Members of Congress, key Hill staff and top media will experience the innovative technologies at the center of today's policy debates.
