New Jersey-based cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon David Greuner, MD has been named to Becker's ASC (News - Alert) Review's 156 ASC Industry Physician Leaders to Know list, released on February 3, 2015. Board-certified in both cardiovascular and thoracic surgery, Dr. Greuner is currently the Medical Director of Centers for Special Surgery of Essex County in Roseland, N.J. He is a co-founder and the managing director of NYC Surgical Associates. Among Dr. Greuner's many achievements, he is credited with developing advanced surgical techniques including the No-Knife Endovenous Laser Ablationand has trained extensively with pioneers in minimally invasive and robotic surgery techniques. He is also the creator of a national public awareness campaign on Lipedema treatment, which launched in 2014.



The recipient of numerous industry accolades, Dr. Greuner was voted a "Top Surgeon" by the Consumers Research Council of America for four consecutive years (2010-2013) and named a 2014 "Doctor of Distinction" by Long Island Pulse (News - Alert). A nationally recognized expert in minimally invasive and cardiovascular surgery, he regularly contributes to media and has appeared on CBS's "The Doctors," Dr. Oz, Eyewitness News, and PIX 11.

Dr. Greuner's post graduate residency training was performed at University of Arizona and Mount Sinai School of Medicine affiliate hospitals, where he was named chief resident of the year, and won the Hughes (News - Alert) Dougan award for dedication to patient care and excellence in surgical technique his chief year. His fellowship training in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery was performed at Albert Einstein School of Medicine in New York City.
