Love Lab Launches New App to Solve Biggest Problem with Online Dating: Creating Chemistry

Master Matchmakers® and VH-1 TV stars Steven and JoAnn Ward today launched Love Lab® (www.lovelab.com), a new mobile dating application. Love Lab® is designed to solve the single biggest problem with online dating - generating chemistry - by allowing users to verify their profiles and communicate with potential matches in an environment of trust. Love Lab® also generates a unique "contact code" for each verified user that can be shared on other online dating networks as proof of authenticity and as an invitation for interested matches to do the same.

According to PEW, 54% of online daters have felt that someone else seriously misrepresented themselves in their profile. Love Lab® features five simple "trust levels" that potential matches can complete to achieve the equivalent of an online dating "seal of approval." Users of the app can expect trust levels to incorporate email and social network verification (level 1) ranging to criminal background checks (level 5).

"Dating in the digital age is difficult - how can singles looking to create connections truly know who is on the other side of their screen?" says Steven Ward, co-founder ad CEO of LoveLab.com. "We created Love Lab® using cutting-edge technologies like biometry to generate the most basic feeling necessary for romance: trust. You need trust to create chemistry; Love Lab helps you build it - no matter what online dating network you're using."

Love Lab® also offers communications tools for potential matches, including disappearing messages and videos that do not remain on a profile once the online flirting has ended and the romance has moved offline.

"From what I've observed during my time leading one of the industry's most respected online dating services is that the missing link in the equation is trust," says Scott Eagle, Love Lab advisor and former CEO of eHarmony.com. "I am excited to see how Love Lab can close the loop between trusted identity and the consumers who are looking to meet their mate online."

"I believe that Love Lab will completely transform online dating in a way that everyone can embrace," says Jon Kraft, Love Lab investor and founding CEO of Pandora (News - Alert). "It will make it safer, more effective and fun for everyone. Having been a part of building a transformational company in another ubiquitous consumer industry, I can see many of the crucial elements of that success in Love Lab®: a passionate founding team, a fundamental flaw in the industry that impacts everyone's experience and a secret sauce that makes a real difference."
