C3 Energy Addresses Importance of Data Analytics for Green Button Initiative

C3 Energy Senior Vice President of Products and Engineering Houman Behzadi addressed how data analytics software and customer engagement applications support the Green Button initiative at "The Birth of the Green Button Ecosystem" event on Friday, which brought together Green Button creators, developers, vendors, utilities, and stakeholders to collaborate on a vision of how Green Button will evolve going forward.

Green Button is an industry-led effort that responds to a White House call-to-action: provide electricity customers with easy access to their energy usage data in a consumer-friendly and computer-friendly format. Since its creation in 2012, the Green Button initiative has seen explosive growth. Today, about 60 million Americans have access totheir own "Green Button" data in a standardized format - creating new 21st Century opportunities to use private sector tools and services to manage and upgrade household and building energy performance.
