Cognitive Networks Names Tim Driscoll as Chief Financial Officer


Cognitive Networks, the market-leading provider of real-time services that power Enhanced TV on Smart TVs, today announced the appointment of Tim Driscoll as Chief Financial Officer. Driscoll has 15 years of financial and operations management experience with venture-backed companies, and has raised over $150 million to support their growth.

Previously, Driscoll was CFO of Verimatrix (News - Alert), a conditional access and digital rights management software company, which he helped build from a startup to one of the most widely-deployed suppliers in the global Pay TV market. Prio to that, he provided finance and strategy consulting services to a number of early-stage companies, and managed direct investments at Mission Ventures, a $500M early-stage venture capital firm focused on Internet and communication technologies.



Driscoll also served as a Captain in the U.S. Army's Aviation branch, where he held roles in strategic planning, management development, and new technology deployment. He graduated from UCLA's Anderson School of Management with an MBA and from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point with a BS in Computer Science.
