Zags Expands EMEA Market Presence with Addition of Pierre Leo as Executive Vice President

Zags, a solution provider of core processing systems for the P&C and group life insurance markets, today announced the addition of Pierre Leo to the company's leadership team. In his new role as executive vice president EMEA, Leo will be instrumental in leading Zags' EMEA business development and sales initiatives to gain significant market share in the global core insurance software market.

Leo will report directly to Zags founder and CEO Olivier Jaillon and will be responsible for identifying and developing Zags' target markets in the strategically important EMEA region. He will leverage his knowledge and reputation in the financial services and technology markets to help insurers understand Zags' value proposition and build the company's ecosystem of strategic alliances.

Leo comes to Zags with an extensive 30-year background in financial services, technology, and business development. Prior to joining Zgs, he was most recently deputy general manager with Cegedim-Activ, a leading software provider for health insurance in France. Simultaneous to this position, Leo also served as general manager for IACP, a company specializing in providing IT related services to financial services organizations. Earlier in his career, Leo held a variety of sales executive and management positions with Capgemini, Continuum, and Unisys (News - Alert) France. He has also served as general manager at Sinfor Telecom and in various technical roles at GSI-TECSI.

Jaillon commented on Leo joining the Zags team, saying, "Pierre is a proven business development leader in the EMEA financial services software market. His extensive experience and knowledge of this market will be extremely valuable as Zags looks to aggressively establish a strong and sustainable leadership position in the EMEA region. As a global insurance solution provider it's important that our executive team be present in key locations worldwide to keep us close to our internal team, our delivery partners, and our customers."

Leo added, "This is an exciting time for Zags as well as insurers in the EMEA region. Tremendous value can be derived from modernizing core systems when solution providers and their insurer clients work as a team on a common goal. One of the things that attracted me to Zags was the company's commitment to this market, to being innovative, and to working closely with clients to translate technology solutions into true business value."

Leo graduated from ESIEA Paris in 1983 as a computer science engineer.
