WHAT:

Java is one of the longest-standing and widely deployed enterprise programming languages in the world. Outdated Java code with well documented security vulnerabilities persists in most data centers, where it is often the target in attacks. Using several documented Java server vulnerabilities, the speaker will explain:

-- The reasons that legacy Java persists, in spite of its security risks
-- The merits of current methods for mitigating legacy Java risks, including network based security tools and code analysis
-- New approaches for mitigating risk such as Run Time Application Self-Protection (RASP) and containerization
-- How these newer approaches can extend security benefits beyond the closing legacy Java security gaps - to prevent attacks such as SQL injection
