"We are beyond excited to receive this recognition from Microsoft for our efforts with iCPooch," said Brooke. "If I'm fortunate enough to win, I'd like to invest the capital into my goal o expanding iCPooch into the home healthcare market to be able to provide a device that lets you check-in with an elderly parent or relative and deliver them their medications remotely."

About iCPooch

iCPooch is an internet-enabled device that allows dog owners to video chat with their pet and deliver them a treat from anywhere with a push of a button on their smartphone or tablet. As an 8th grader, 12-year-old Brooke Martin came up with the concept for iCPooch with the goal to alleviate her golden retriever's separation anxiety when the family was away from home. In Fall 2012, Brooke wowed investors at Start-Up Weekend Spokane; and in 2013 she was the first runner-up in the national Discovery Education 3M Young Scientist Challenge. She recently won the "Inventions We Love Segment" at the Geekwire Summit in Seattle; and in October 2014, Brooke was a featured presenter at Purina's "Better with Pets" Summit in New York City. Brooke is a sophomore at Ferris High School in Spokane, WA.

After two and a half years in development, iCPooch was launched into the consumer marketplace in July 2014. Product demand continues to escalate and iCPooch is now available on their website and at a variety of online retailers including Amazon.com (News - Alert), Wag.com, Bed Bath & Beyond and others in the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. ICPooch MSRP in the U.S. is $129.99.
