Trane Showcases Best in Home Heating and Cooling in The New American Home® at 2015 International Builders' Show

Trane (News - Alert), the leading global provider of reliable, energy-efficient home comfort solutions and services and a brand of Ingersoll Rand (NYSE:IR), is proud to display the latest in home heating and cooling products and technology as part of The New American Home, the official showcase house of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) International Builders' Show.

Demonstrating builders' best practices, concepts, materials, designs and construction techniques, The New American Home offers a collection of ideas for building industry professionals to take away and put into practice in homes across the country. The New American Home is open for tours during the show, Jan. 20-22 in Las Vegas.

"Innovation, reliability and energy efficiency are built into every Trane product, and The New American Home is another great way to inspire builders to create homes that deliver the ultimate in comfort and control for their customers," said Mark Hall, Trane Residential HVAC builder and retail leader.

Trane will feature five advanced technologies in the home, including its TruComfort™ Variable Speed Heat Pumps, the Trane CleanEffects™ whole-house air filtration system, and the award-winning ComfortLink™ II XL950 Control, a powerful home command center. The house will also feature a Multi-Split Ductless System and Trane FreshEffects™ Energy Recovery Ventilator. More information on the featured products:

TruComfort Variable Speed Heat Pumps: Efficient home heating

Trane TruComfort Variable Speed Heat Pump Systems can both heat and cool a home efficiently, while simultaneously creating a clean and comfortable environment. The Trane TruComfort system gives precise comfort by running at the exact speed needed to keep a home comfortable. The variable speed compressor, outdoor fan and indoor fan vary operating speeds and BTUs as the temperature outside changes by slowing down or speeding up gradually in as little as one-tenth of one percent increments to keep comfort within half a degree of the thermostat setting. The XV20i variable speed heat pump is one of the industry's most efficient systems as well, with ratings up to 20 SEER and 10 HSPF.

Trane CleanEffects: Setting the standard in indoor air quality

Trane CleanEffects provides whole-house filtration for indoor air, which EPA studies indicate may be 25 times, and occasionally more than 100 times, more polluted than outdoor levels. Its patented, breakthrough air-cleaning technology reduces allergens and particles, such as dust, pollen, bacteria, pet dander, mold spores and smoke. With a clean air delivery rate eight times more effective than even the best HEPA filters and 100 times more effective than the standard 1-inch filter in most home central air systems, Trane CleanEffects can help everyone in a home breathe easier.

Trane ComfortLink II XL950: Complete control of home comfort

The Trane ComfortLink II XL950 home comfort command center features a 7-inch high-definition color touchscreen and an easy-to-use interface that allows homeowners to monitor energy usage, check outdoor and indoor temperatures, track the local five-day forecast and radar and set up severe weather alerts. It is compatible with Nexia™ Home Intelligence, which enables homeowners to remotely control their home's heating, cooling and energy usage from any Web-enabled computer or smartphone for the ultimate in convenience, reliability and control.

The New American Home: Official showcase house of IBS
