IRIS Laser Heads Up Display Demos at CES 2015

The Iris HUD is more advanced than any other after-market vehicle heads up display unit on today's market. Iris projects all mobile communications and navigation data including directions, speeding alerts, school zones on the windshield in front of the driver. Simple finger gesture control allows the driver's hands to remain on the wheel and their eyes on the road.

Iris is unique from all other HUD products

Visor Mount:
A visor mount fits any car regardless of dashboard geometry and gives a cleaner visual backdrop, keeping road vision unobstructed.

Gesture Controlled:
Auto reply to text messages and answer or decline calls with a finger wave.

Open Source (News - Alert) Software:
Open to developers to develop new functions and app integration. This ensures that the product remains relevant or years after purchase, improving with time.

The display is based on laser scanning technology and is incredibly sharp and easy to read, adapting to ambient lighting. A clean and simple user interface with an intuitive display format provides the user with what they need. Iris is compatible with iOS and Android (News - Alert) and is Bluetooth enabled.

The company founders are best pals Dino Mariutti and Dallas La Porta. They envisioned heads up displays eventually being standard in all vehicles, but felt that the technology offered in new high-end luxury cars was far behind what was possible with modern technology, especially considering the price (thousands of dollars). They believe that their affordable device for the after-market buyer is going to embarrass the big boys.
