The American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) Publishes New, Online-Only Clinical Case Reports Journal Dedicated to Endocrine Practice

The American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) has launched a new, online-only journal - AACE Clinical Case Reports (AACR) - dedicated to endocrine practice case reports, including commentary from noted endocrinology experts.

Derek LeRoith, MD, PhD, FACE, current Editor-in-Chief of AACE's monthly medical journal, Endocrine Practice, will serve as editor of the new quarterly online journal.

"This new online journal will serve as an educational resource for practicing endocrinologists [specially trained physicians who treat disorders of the glands including diabetes] and offer fellows-in-training and young pysicians a venue to publish their new and interesting cases," said Dr. LeRoith.

"Having a separate case reports journal allows us to review and publish more original work in Endocrine Practice," continued Dr. LeRoith. "Also, it affords us the opportunity to position Endocrine Practice as a high-level, scientific and translational journal, attracting a broader range of international authors."

Plans are underway to submit the case reports journal for inclusion in the Science Citation Index by Thomson Reuters (News - Alert) as well as PubMed. Access to the journal is free and available through http://journals.aace.com/.

Guidelines and criteria for submitting case reports for consideration are available at https://www.aace.com/publications. For more information about ACCR, contact Lori Clawges, Director of Publications at [email protected].
