Prima-Temp, Inc. to Unveil Revolutionary Fertility Awareness Sensor at 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show
Prima-Temp, the company that has patented wireless, continuous
temperature monitoring to address a variety of physiological needs, will
unveil their ground-breaking fertility awareness sensor at the upcoming
International Consumer Electronics Show (CES (News - Alert))®, January 6 -
9, 2015 in Las Vegas, NV (Eureka Park, Sands Expo, booth # 75015).
"Connectivity is the driving force in consumer technology," said Gary
Shapiro, president and CEO of the Consumer Electronics Association (News - Alert) (CEA)®,
producer of the International CES. "As the Internet of Things
(IoT) evolves, connected devices will impact every facet of our lives,
particularly our health and wellness. Products like Prima-Temp's are
finding innovative ways to leverage the IoT and make our daily routines
easier and more efficient."
As the first U.S.-based company to offer an elegant sensor that
continuously measures true core body temperature, Prima-Temp's first
product will be the most precise, accurate, effortless method for women
to pinpoint their fertile window without having to actively engage in
data collection. This self-inserted, wireless temperature sensor
continuously and passively tracks a woman's core body temperature,
detecting the subtle changes that occur before ovulation, then sends an
alert to her smartphone when she is most fertile.
Research suggests that couples trying-to-conceive are often encouraged
to pursue invasive, expensive infertility treatments before more natural
approaches are exhausted. Fertility awareness is essential for couples
trying-to-conceive; understanding reproductive health and natural
fertility signs can help couples avoid costly infertility treaments
Prima-Temp has raised over two million dollars in funding, established a
world-class leadership and development team, received two issued patents
and has garnered awards including the Venture+ Forum at the 2014 mHealth
CEA and FamilyTech have also invited Dr.
Lauren Costantini, Prima-Temp's CEO, to share insights on quantified
self and modern fertility trends. Join her and others from the
leadership team at:
Eureka Park, Sands Expo, booth # 75015
CES Conference Panel - "What's
New in Quantified Self" Monday, January 5 from 3:30-4:30 PM in the
Las Vegas Convention Center, room N261
FamilyTech Conference Panel - "Tech
That Makes You A Better You" Wednesday, January 7 from 2:30 - 3:15
PM in the Venetian, Level 2, Bellini 2006
Prima-Temp Press Conference - "The Fertility Sensor that Allows
Women to Take Control of Their Fertility" Thursday, January 8 at 11 AM
in Eureka Park, booth # 75015
"Our personal sensor combines rigorous science with cutting-edge
technology to quantify the body's most important physiologic parameter,"
explained Dr. Lauren Costantini. "The unveiling of our flagship product
at CES will allow women to take charge of their fertility with less
effort and greater confidence."
Prima-Temp brings new, innovative approaches to many of today's
healthcare challenges through the application of 21st century
thermometry. Prima-Temp's continuous temperature sensors and associated
software allow the most precise method to measure true core body
temperature, with the potential to address a multitude of applications
including fertility, early disease detection, sleep disorders, drug
therapy, weight control and exercise. For additional information, visit www.prima-temp.com.
