ShopKeep Apple Pay & Chip Card Reader Available Now


ShopKeep, the cloud-based technology provider trusted by more than 10,000 small business owners to manage retail shops and restaurants with iPads, today released its new Apple (News - Alert) Pay™ and chip card reader. This reader allows merchants to accept Apple Pay, along with traditional magnetic swipe credit card payments; chip card capabilities will be available next year well ahead of October's liability transition deadline.

ShopKeep's new reader offers independent business owners the latest in payment technology and additional security features for each credit card transaction. The device, powered by Ingenico Mobile Solutions, the leading mobile commerce platform provider, connects to the ShopKeep register app via Bluetooth. It retails for $249, and for a limited time, new customers will receive a free reader upon signing up for a ShopKeep account.
