This will allow the Chemistry department at the CRO to continue meeting customer requirements as the demand for improved turnaround time increases. Brinham, who previously worked in the Oil & Gas sector including nearly 20 years at ICI, will bring not just a great deal of knowledge of business development and growth coupled with a strong scientific base, but his background will help to develop new markets for Smithers Viscient. This upsurge is being driven by an increased demand for stand-alone cold chemistry analysis - both routine and monitoring - REACH and confirmatory support work for Smithers Viscient's other growing Ecotox and PDT departments. As such, Smithers Viscient is planning to scale up the Chemistry department and will be implementing a comprehensive equipment advancement over the next few months.
