Bluefin Payment Systems and Priority Payment Systems Announce Partnership for Bluefin's PCI-Validated Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE) Solution

Bluefin Payment Systems has announced a partnership with Priority Payment Systems to provide Bluefin's PCI (News - Alert)-validated Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE) Solution to Priority Payment clients.

Bluefin became the first North American company to be validated by the PCI Security Standards Council (SSC) for a P2PE Solution, PayConex P2PE, in March 2014. On November 3rd, Bluefin introduced Decryptx, the company's Decryption as a Service (DaaS) product. Decryptx provides all of the security of PayConex P2PE but with no change to the merchant's processing or acquiring relationship.

Bluefin's PCI-validated P2PE solution secures card transactions by encrypting all data within a PCI-approved point of entry swipe or keypad device, preventing clear-text cardholder data from being available in the device or the merchant's system where it could be exposed to malware.

Priority Payment Systems is one of the fastest-growing Merchant Acquirers in the U.S. Priority has established itself as a leading innovator in the electronic payments industry, with future facing payment solutions, powerful reporting and a technology strategy that is product-focused.

"Priority's mission is to provide our clients with the latest solutions for how they conduct payments, whether online, in the retail environment, over the phone, or on a mobile tablet. With constantly evolving payment solutions, the one thing that the payment industry cannot lose sight of s security," said John V. Priore, President and CEO of Priority Payment Systems. "Priority is dedicated to ensuring that our clients have the best options for securing cardholder information, which is why we are excited to offer Bluefin's P2PE solution to our existing and new customers."

Under the agreement, Priority will provide Bluefin's PayConex P2PE through Priority's current sales channels. Bluefin will fulfill, manage and support all P2PE orders, including device shipping, chain of custody and device monitoring.

"Priority Payment Systems is an undisputed leader in payments and security," said John M. Perry, CEO of Bluefin. "They continue to push the limit of innovation with their payment solutions platforms for major industries such as Restaurant, Retail, Petroleum and more. Bluefin's PCI-validated solution applies to all verticals and companies of every size - because fraudsters do not discriminate. PayConex P2PE protects the merchant and the consumer, while preserving reputation and brand. We are very much looking forward to working with Priority and their clients on enhancing the security of their cardholder data."
