Pluribus Networks Shortlisted in "Networking" and "Virtualization" Categories in the 2014 Tech Trailblazers Awards

Pluribus Networks, the company that brings together compute, network, storage and virtualization into a single, open and programmable SDN platform, announced today that it has been shortlisted in two categories, Networking and Virtualization, in the 2014 Tech Trailblazers Awards. Voting is taking place now at: http://techtrailblazers.com/shortlist/.

Last month, Pluribus was named a finalist in the fourth annual Storage, Virtualization and Cloud (SVC) Awards, Networking category: http://www.svcawards.com/shortlist.php.

Launched at the beginning of this year, Pluribus' vision is to bring server virtualization to the network. Te idea was to give IT networking pros a new way to run their networks with a single point of contact rather than dealing separately with each piece of hardware throughout the network. With its bare-metal, distributed network hypervisor operating system, Netvisor®, Pluribus enables the convergence of compute, network, storage and virtualization based on open compute and open networking technologies.

Network virtualization is critical to realizing the promise of density-optimized server deployments, as well as realizing the promise of OpenStack.
