Stephen Dodson, PhD, Chief Technical Officer, Prelert,
will join industry experts at The Bloomberg
Enterprise Technology Summit on December 9 at the Vinopolis in
London. The event will cover how financial institutions,
governments and Fortune 500 companies are leveraging cloud
technology, securing the enterprise and addressing emerging
regulations, new disruptors and the next generation of start-ups
coming out of Silicon Roundabout.
Dodson will be speaking in the session entitled: "Off The Record
Working Group: Security Master Class: What Is Your Data Disaster
Plan?" This session will address security issues that are top of
mind for technologists as they face threats from cyber criminals
and on a national security level. This conversation will aid CIOs
in best practices for securing the enterprise.
The panel, moderated by Bloomberg Businessweek Senior
Editor, Diane Brady, will include commentary from the following
leaders in enterprise security:
-
Darren Argyle, Security CTO, EMEA, Symantec
-
Greg Day, EMEA VP & CTO, FireEye
-
Stephen Dodson, CTO, Prelert
-
Andre Durand, Chairman and CEO, Ping
Identity
-
Patty Hatter, CIO and SVP, Operations, McAfee
-
Stuart McClure, Founder & CEO, Cylance
Dodson will specifically discuss why machine learning technology
is the best weapon enterprises have against advanced threats. As
traditional methods are built to secure the perimeter, most
companies with high-value data have already been infiltrated. Once
cybercriminals gain access, they can go undetected for months
pulling data and information as needed without setting off any
alerts. Machine learning can monitor an IT environment in
real-time, helping companies detect data breaches early before
they negatively impact the consumer and the business.
