HATCH Pitch Startup Competition Announces SXSW Applications Open

HATCH pitch, the revolutionary startup pitch competition, invites early stage technology startups with new, disruptive products to apply for the 4th annual HATCH pitch at SXSW's (News - Alert) Startup Village. Finalists will be selected to present 4-minute business plans to a panel of corporate, angel, and venture investor judges in front of the SXSW audience on March 16th, 2015, in Austin, TX.

"I was completely honored and humbled by the entire experience, and also surprised because you don't ever walk into these things thinking you're going to win. All you're thinking is I'm going to do my absolute best and hope for the best," said Divya Dhar, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Seratis, winner of HATCH pitch 2014 at SXSW.

Finalists for HATCH pitch will be selected based on a range of criteria including how revolutionary the idea is, how the company is making life better, what's great about the founders and team, and what's the scalability of the product.

"I look forward to our fourth event at SXSW," said Greg Wright, HATCH pitch founder. "We are thrille with the response we are getting from startups around the world and look forward to seeing more break-through products in 2015."

Previous HATCH pitch judges include John Frankel (ff Venture Capital), Rahul Sood (Microsoft (News - Alert) Ventures), Balaji Gopinath (Turner Broadcasting System/Media Camp), Joel Yarmon (Draper Associates), Nicole Glaros (TechStars), and Don Dodge (Google (News - Alert)).

Startups interested in presenting at HATCH pitch at SXSW 2014 can apply online before the December 30, 2014 deadline at http://hatchpitch.com/apply.
