Part of the annual Global MAKE study, this category recognizes Independent Operating Units which form part of a larger organization -- and includes individual companies, divisions, business units, agencies and departments. The Singapore Armed Forces has been named the 2014 Overall Global Independent Operating Unit (IOU) MAKE Winner for the third year in a row.

Over the past five annual studies, only 25 organizations have been recognized as Global IOU MAKE Winners. An even more select group of organizations form the 2014 Global IOU MAKE Hall of Fame. These three organizations have been Global IOU MAKE Finalists in each of the past five annual studies: Samsung SDS, Singapore Armed Forces, and Tata Consultancy Services.
