Langer was honored with the prestigious 2014 Kyoto Prize presented by the Inamori Foundation earlier this month in Kyoto, Japan. Dr. Langer received the Advanced Technology prize in the field of Biotechnology and Medical Technology for his work as "a founder of the field of tissue engineering and creator of revolutionary drug delivery system (DDS) technologies."
