SC Launch Companies Win 2014 InnoVision Awards


GREENVILLE, S.C. --(Business Wire)--

SCRA Technology Ventures today announced that four of its SC Launch companies received top recognitions at the InnoVenture Awards Dinner this week. ActivEd, ISI (News - Alert) Technology, Recovr, Inc. and VRM Labs each won InnoVision Awards at the event, held in Greenville, S.C. Dr. Larry Gluck of Greenville Health System (GHS) received the Townes Lifetime Achievement Award. Gluck is a recipient of SCRA's Knowledge Economist Award for his tremendous support of many SC Launch companies and for his partnership with SCRA through GHS's Institute for Translational Oncology Research.

The InnoVision Technology Awards, presented by McNair Attorneys, honors companies and individuals by presenting awards in the following areas: Technology Development, Technology Application, Education, Community Service, Sustainability, Small Enterprise and the Townes Lifetime Achievement Award. Since its inception in 1999, the InnoVision Technology Awards recognize and honor Upstate and Midlands businesses, individuals and organizations that have demonstrated significant advancements in the areas of innovation and technological progress. The awards have become the mark of distinction for outstanding leadership, innovation and technological excellence in South Carolina.
