NEW YORK & CHICAGO --(Business Wire)--

American Banker and BAI (News - Alert) , the top two professional information and education organizations for the financial services industry, today announced the FinTech Forward™ annual report, which ranks the leading companies providing technology for financial institutions worldwide.

FIS, Tata Consultancy Services (News - Alert) and Fiserv, Inc. ranked highest on the list of the top 100 technology providers to banking and financial services companies, while IBM, Hewlett-Packard and Dell topped the list of the 25 largest technology companies that serve financial services among other industries. The top companies in financial services technology were formally recognized yesterday at an awards ceremony held at BAI's Retail Delivery Conference & Expo, the world's premier retail banking event attended by more than 3,000 financial industry leaders.

The FinTech Forward report, a product of American Banker and BAI's 11-year alliance, is the financial technology vendor ranking with the broadest reach in the banking industry and is distributed to more than 50,000 banking and financial services professionals through the American Banker, Bank Technology News, PaymentsSource, and Credit Union Journal publications and websites and featured on www.FinTechForward.com.

"FinTech Forward looks beyond the numbers and includes a more strategic view of and commentary on the issues driving technology spending," said Penny Crosman, Editor-in-Chief of Bank Technology News and Technology Editor at American Banker. "It also highlights ten promising startups bankers should have on their radars."

As part of the program, American Banker and BAI published a series of articles identifying the forces and trends that are motivating banks' technology investment. The FinTech Forward special report also includes sponsored content from Fiserv (which ranked third on the FinTech Forward Top 100) featuring the vendor's proprietary research.

The top 100 and top 25 rankings are based on reported and estimated calendar-year revenues derived from the financial industry. To see the full lists, visit www.americanbanker.com/fintech-forward/rankings.
