Withings Honored With Three 2015 CES Innovation Awards

NEW YORK --(Business Wire)--

Withings, the leader in the connected health revolution, today announced that it has received three CES (News - Alert) 2015 innovation awards for its new devices, Withings Activité and Withings Home. Every year, the CES Innovation Awards honors products with innovative design and engineering, which shows the most cutting edge technology in products and services coming to market.

Awarded in two categories, Withings Activité has revolutionized the activity tracker and smart watch sectors. At the crossroads of luxury and technology, Activité is the first of its kind: a premium, high-end analog watch that can track steps, running, swimming and monitor its users' sleep. Hidden behind the sapphire unbreakable glass and the Swiss crafted dials, the engineers managed to insert tracking capability via an accelerometer as well as Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity. The patented technology was named "Connected Movement" and comes as a revolution for the whole watch industry.

With Home, an HD Video camera with environmental sensors, Withings makes a remarkable entry in the Smart Home category. First Home takes video monitoring to a whole new level by embarking the latest video innovation: 135° wide angle, 5M resolution, digital Tilt Pan Zoom, super low latency processing. Secondly Home is the very first IP video that has environmental sensors to help users monitor and regulate indoor air quality. Lastly Home features a sophisticated design that is meant to fit into any home decoration.

Withings devices have been recognized for five consecutive years by the CES Innovations Awards since first participating in 2011: the Smart Baby Monitor and the Smart Kid Scale in the Health & Wellness category, and the Smart Body Analyzer and the Smart Sleep System Aura in the Health & Fitness category. These awards are strong telltale signs of Withings' role as a leader in the consumer health & technology spaces and confirms that every product in the Withings range is at the cutting edge of technology and design. As Cedric Hutchings, CEO of Withings, explained, "Winning these CES Innovation Awards has been a true recognition and honor, confirming the great design and engineering qualities of Withings products. It allows us as a company to focus on creating an emotional connection with our users that ensures long-term adoption of their Withings devices."

Withings Activité and Withings Home will be on display at the CES Unveiled NYC on November 11th, 2014, and the entire range of Withings devices will be showcased at the 2015 International CES, January 6-9, 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
