immixGroup Announces Expansion of Public Sector Cloud Services Program

(Marketwire (Canada) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) MCLEAN, VA --(Marketwired - October 31, 2014) - immixGroup, Inc., which helps technology companies do business with the government, announced today the expansion of its Cloud Services program through a new agreement with SoftLayer, an IBM company. Using the SoftLayer Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) platform, immixGroup will act as a broker and support its business partners, which include more than 250 enterprise technology vendors and 800 solution providers, as they migrate applications to the cloud and sell them to public sector customers via Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) models.

SoftLayer provides cloud infrastructure designed to meet the unique and demanding requirements of U.S. government agencies. The platform allows solution providers and customers to deploy bare metal servers, virtual servers, storage, and more. It offers on-demand deployment, full visibility and access for superior cloud performance, scalability, control, and security.

Through its Cloud Services program, immixGroup offers enterprise IT vendors, channel partners, and government agencies access to a number of cloud brokerage capabilities, including: -- The SoftLayer IaaS Platform, which immixGroup will sell as a stand-alone service and/or make accessible to channel partners and government agencies through a cloud portal; -- Technical resources with extensive experience in developing, customizing, deploying, and supporting cloud-based applications within the public sector; -- Consulting services to assist vendors in using SoftLayer to move their products to the cloud; -- A billing portal to enable and track consumption of cloud-based services by government agencies; -- A broad range of government contract vehicles; -- Relationships with an extensive network of software and hardware vendors, systems integrators, solution providers, and value-added resellers; and -- Marketing, market intelligence, and lead generation services for vendors and channel partners.

In addition to the new SoftLayer agreement, immixGroup's Cloud Services program has achieved several milestones in recent months. These include: -- Winning a three-year contract with a state law enforcement agency to deliver immixGroup's commercial SaaS application, the immixGroup Criminal Investigative Tracking Tool (iCrITT®). Delivered in conjunction with NetClean's Analyze Collaboration Server, iCriTT empowers federal, state, local, and international law enforcement and intelligence-related organizations of all sizes and jurisdictions through improved deconfliction, data management, collaboration, and analysis. It enables investigators to share information and work together to provide a coordinated approach to preventing, detecting, and solving online criminal activity. immixGroup developed the application and brokered the relationship among the law enforcement agency, the Infrastructure-as-a- Service provider, and NetClean.

-- Enabling the sale of a perpetual license SaaS product through a cloud subscription model. immixGroup collaborated with Oracle to develop myCPIC, a Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC) budgeting solution that is sold as an annual subscription-based solution. This SaaS application for government agencies utilizes Oracle's Primavera Portfolio Management (OPPM), Primavera CPIC solutions, and Oracle Consulting Services. It allows agencies to manage IT investments in a hosted cloud environment with decreased maintenance and no up-front, on- premises software costs. It can be delivered via SoftLayer or other IaaS platforms.

-- Securing a Department of Defense SaaS contract award for IBM software.

immixGroup will deliver IBM Tivoli Monitoring Software (ITM) as a service, along with Tier 1 support, to the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). The SaaS solution includes software, licenses, and the technical services necessary to install, configure, implement, administer, and sustain the IBM Tivoli solution.

-- Developing a SaaS application for public sector channel insight and contract management. immixGroup's cloud-based contract and partner management solution assists technology manufacturers in analyzing and managing their federal, state, and local contract vehicles and channel partners. This secure online application, which is delivered on a monthly subscription basis, enables sales and channel managers to gain insight into their public sector sales, pricing, customer adoption, partner performance, and partner program participation. Contracts and program personnel receive automated tools to manage contracts, price lists, program compliance, and reporting.

"We want to enable the transition to cloud-based services for our software vendors, channel partners, and government customers," said Joe Maline, immixGroup's Chief Technology Officer. "Through our SoftLayer agreement and other relationships, our Cloud Services program allows technology companies to offer their products through the cloud and gives our channel partners the resources they need to make SaaS solutions available to their government customers." "By acting as a public sector distributor and broker on behalf of our enterprise software vendors and solution providers, we can make cloud-based services more easily consumable by the government," said Art Richer, CEO and president of immixGroup, Inc. "We're in a unique position to manage the relationships and help all parties accelerate their adoption of Software-as-a-Service models." About immixGroup, Inc.
