130 jobs announced for Athlone and Dublin [EMBIN (Emerging Markets Business Information News]


(EMBIN (Emerging Markets Business Information News) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) 100 JOBS WILL be created by a medical device company in Athlone over the next three years. Teleflex, a global provider of medical devices for critical care and surgery, has confirmed its intention to create the high-skilled positions over the next three years at its Athlone office. The expansion is supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland. Since the creation of the Athlone site in 2007, Teleflex has grown to employ more than 150 people who support the company's growing business in Europe, Middle East, Africa (“EMEA†), Asia Pacific and India. Teleflex is one of the top 160 companies by revenue in Ireland, and the Athlone site recently was accredited as one of the best workplaces in Ireland by the Great Place to Work Institute. The Athlone business employs front office functions such as administration, customer service, finance, human resources, information technology quality, operations and research and development. Openet Elsewhere Openet, Ireland's largest privately owned technology company, has announced that it is to create 45 highly skilled jobs. 30 roles will be created at its global headquarters in Dublin with a further 15 roles created at its Asian hub in Kuala Lumpur. The roles include a number of graduate positions as well as senior technical and engineering positions. Openet provides software, that commercialises network activity to customers including AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, Bell and Vodafone.
