In 1989, GE Aerospace and MiTAC formed Getac to build the company's first product - the T3020 mobile computer that was designed specifically for military field use. When compared to the 42-pound T3020 from 1989, the F110 rugged tablet, today's flagship product, is 39 pounds lighter and has more computing power than all the T3020s sold in the early years combined. Getac is most proud of the fact that its F110 rugged tablet is the fastest selling product in the company's history

"Since the beginning, our mission has remained the same - build rugged computing products that can work in the most extreme environments in the world," explains James Hwang, CEO of Getac Technology Corporation. "Twenty-five years later, the Getac culture of innovation embodies that same core mission and spirit and is evident today in each and every product and solution we release.

"Looking forward, Getac will continue to focus on technological advances in computer designs and performance along with opportunities to create new solutions to advance the way people work in hazardous environments around the globe," Hwang concluded.

Getac will continue to introduce new products, including a number of new tablets in different sizes in the near future. Designed to fit specific vertical needs with features and specifications tailored for optimum performance in the required field applications, these new tablets will again set a new standard in excellence for rugged computing solutions.
