The winners were announced at Advanced's annual customer conference which was held at the Business Design Centre in London on 23rd October 2014.

The Halo Awards recognise best practice for customers' use of Advanced's finance, human capital management, supply chain management, not-for-profit and ticketing solutions. Entrants were judged on a range of criteria, including how Advanced's software has helped their business to better connect, collaborate and innovate for growth; the theme of the conference.


Simon Fowler, Managing Director of Advanced Business Solutions (Commercial division), says, 'We invest considerable time and funds into developing solutions based on our customers' specific needs to enable them to quickly capitalise on the encouraging upturn in the economy.

'2014 marks the third consecutive year of us running the Halo Awards and it was great to receive so many outstanding award entries, highlighting that Advanced's solutions are assisting businesses to improve efficiencies and fuel growth.' ABP UK, the UK's largest beef processor, received the Halo Award for Greatest Savings Through Software. By implementing Advanced's HR and payroll solutions, OpenPeople and OpenHR across 16 sites in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, ABP has achieved a combined year one cost saving of GBP150,000.

Spectrum Housing Group was awarded Greatest Impact on Customer Engagement after utilising Advanced's Open HR and Mobile HR solutions to roll-out an internal staff recognition scheme, Spectrum Stars. Staff can nominate individual employees, line managers or a team of the month using Advanced's self-service workflow or through Mobile HR. Nominations are then collated by Spectrum's HR department.

Robert Barnett-Moore, HR Systems Manager at Spectrum Housing Group, said, 'Advanced's solutions have helped us to easily manage the nomination process, which include sending automated email alerts to notify staff of the recognition made. Staff are now fully engaged with the scheme which in turn has assisted us to recognise and reward outstanding achievement.' The Advanced Green Award was presented to DFS Furniture Group in recognition of the company's reduction of the number of paper invoices it processes by 30 per cent using Advanced OpenAccounts financial management, eBIS workflow and electronic document management solutions. The software has enabled DFS to fully automate the processing of more than 90,000 purchase invoices each year resulting in faster payment processing whilst significantly reducing the volume of paperwork circulating within the organisation.

Chesterton Global Ltd, a leading London residential estate agent, wasannounced as Outstanding Team of the Year. Chesterton's HR team has used Advanced's OpenHR and OpenPay software to implement a new self-service process which has reduced the time taken to input monthly timesheets from three days to 20 minutes, transforming organisation-wide efficiency.
