Dialog IC used in Meizu MX4 smartphone [Emirates News Agency (WAM) (United Arab Emirates)]

(Emirates News Agency (WAM) (United Arab Emirates) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Dialog Semiconductor, a provider of highly integrated power management, AC/DC, solid-state lighting and Bluetooth Smart wireless technology, announced that the new Meizu MX4 smartphone uses Dialog's DA9210 power management IC (PMIC) to deliver precision power to the phone's processor, MediaTek's MT6595. The Meizu MX4 features a thin, lightweight design and a 5.3 inch, 1920 x 1152 LCD display. It achieves an 87 percent improvement in performance and 30 percent increase in battery life, compared with the previous MX3 model. The DA9210 PMIC is a multiphase DC-DC buck converter with a high level of functional integration. It features dynamic voltage control so that its output voltage responds instantaneously to changes in processor load.

This boosts the MX4's multi-tasking performance and energy efficiency. The high performance MediaTek MT6595 octa-core 4G LTE System on Chip (SoC) has four Cortex(R)-A17 cores and four energy efficient Cortex-A7 cores based on the ARM big.Little architecture.
