Slovakia's Orange Slovensko revenues fall 9% y/y in Jan-Sept [IntelliNews - Weekly Reports]


(IntelliNews - Weekly Reports Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) The revenue of Slovakia's biggest mobile operator Orange Slovensko fell 9% y/y to EUR 432mn in the first nine months of the year. In the third quarter alone, Orange Slovensko revenues stood at EUR 146mn, down 4.5% on the year, Orange Slovensko's parent company Q3 report showed.



Revenues from mobile services fell to EUR 359mn in January to September from EUR 401mn a year ago. Revenues from fixed services rose to EUR 44mn from EUR 41mn the same period last year.

Orange Slovensko had 2.81mn subscribers at the end of September, compared to 2.77mn a year earlier. The number of fixed broadband Internet customers rose to 122,000 from 97,000 at end-September 2013.


On the Slovak market Orange competes with Deutsche Telekom's Slovak Telekom and O2 Slovakia, owned by Czech investment and financial group PPF.
