US-based Pegasystems acquires Turkish IT company Ultima. [IntelliNews - Weekly Reports](IntelliNews - Weekly Reports Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) US-based software company Pegasystems announced on October 22 that it signed a definitive agreement in order to acquire Turkish IT company Ultima Information Technology for an undisclosed sum. The deal is expected to be completed by the end of this year, the statement from Pegasystems detailed. Ultima, which was founded in 1995, have been distributing Pegasystems' business applications in Turkey for seven years and also provides IT infrastructure to its customers, including Is Bankasi, Turkey's largest private bank by asset, and the country's second largest GSM operator Vodafone Turkey.
