BDO beefs up its Liverpool senior team with three appointments [Liverpool Echo (England)](Liverpool Echo (England) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ACCOUNTANCY firm BDO has appointed three new senior people to its Liverpool-based team. The business has recruited a director and two senior managers. Combined, the trio has almost 60 years' experience in advising businesses across the North West. Catherine Fairhurst joins the tax team at BDO following 27 years at EY, 15 of as a partner, where she previously headed up the Entrepreneur of the Year awards programme in the North. She advises mid-market companies and international groups on strategic tax planning and is also an accounting and finance tutor at Liverpool John Moores University. Graham Ellis joins as a senior manager in the audit department following nine years at Deloitte in Liverpool. He specialises in advising large corporates across the North West, with specific expertise in the manufacturing sector. Finally, Lauren Fletcher has joined the Liverpool team from BDO's Manchester office where she has been for seven years. The firm has also recruited five trainees to its tax and audit departments as part of its graduate programme.
