BRIEF: Two area employers are honored for hiring people with disabilities [The Kansas City Star](Kansas City Star (MO) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Oct. 22--Two Kansas City area organizations were recognized Wednesday for increasing their employment of people with disabilities. The Business Leadership Network of Greater Kansas City, at its fifth DisAbility Champion Awards Luncheon, cited Cerner Corp. and the law firm of Wagstaff & Cartmell LLP. The event, held at the Ritz Charles in Overland Park, is an annual acknowledgment of employers with notable disability inclusion in their workplaces. The network recently was awarded a pair of three-year grants from state and private sources to help increase the hiring of individuals with disabilitites in the Kansas City area.
