China : HUAWEI, KPN and CHINA MOBILE jointly complete the first IMS-based Voice-Over LTE International roaming call [TendersInfo (India)](TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Industries first Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) based Voice over LTE (VoLTE) roaming call between Europe and Asia using Huawei's solutions, has been successfully conducted, declared Huawei. Huawei in partnership with China Mobile networks and KPN Netherlands, and China Mobile utilised IBASIS as a tandem office, conducted the test. The call was a test to commercialise the use of international VoLTE roaming. During the call, high- fidelity voice and video abilities were also tested which was the foundation for long distance communication. "Huawei is committed to promoting commercial VoLTE deployment globally. We feel honored to cooperate with KPN and China Mobile to complete this call. As 4G evolves Huawei will continue to work with both operators to stimulate a smooth network evolution from 3G.
